This work is part of a series of procedurally generated planetary forms, exploring how algorithmic systems can echo the complexity and beauty of natural cosmology. Using rule-based processes rather than direct sculptural intervention, the artist allows mathematical relationships to determine landmass, atmosphere, and surface variation, resulting in worlds that feel both scientifically plausible and quietly unfamiliar.

Suspended against the void of space, the planet appears at once ancient and newly formed. Cloud systems drift across vast oceans; continents bear the scars of erosion and impact. Though fictional, the surface reads as a geological record — shaped by forces that mirror those governing our own planet, yet unbound by Earth’s history.

By removing human authorship from individual details and instead designing the conditions under which the world emerges, the artist shifts the act of creation from depiction to orchestration. The work invites reflection on authorship, scale, and humanity’s impulse to imagine other worlds — whether as scientific inquiry, speculative fiction, or quiet meditation on our place in the cosmos.
