The Dark Carnival exists in a world suspended between memory and dream—a digital purgatory where the joy of the fairground has curdled into something uncanny. Neon lights hum over empty midway games, striped tents fade under artificial skies, and “Power-Up” stations promise escape through hollow rewards. Every structure feels familiar yet wrong, assembled from fragments of amusement parks, malls, and video games—a simulacrum of entertainment built from nostalgia and decay. Time loops endlessly here, as if the carnival itself is alive, feeding on the echoes of laughter that once filled its halls. It’s a world that asks: when does play become performance, and when does the performance become a trap?
